For almost 50 years, Earth Day has been one day that everyone can come together in celebration of the sacredness of our planet, and our connections to it and each other. Continuing this tradition each year on April 22nd, we mark the anniversary of Earth Day in Spokane to celebrate the birth of the modern environmental movement on the date of the first Earth Day in 1970 when 22 million Americans came together to make a difference.

We recognize how necessary and important is has become to have a time and place to celebrate our planet, our existence on it, and each other.  Every year we are given the opportunity to recognize the changes our environment is going through, provide new opportunities to come together, and to provide a vision of sustainability and conservation so that future generations can enjoy the world we've been given,. This year’s EarthDay work group has been working tirelessly to produce an unforgettable experience for Spokane that will take place on April 22 & 23, 2017 under Spokane’s iconic Pavilion in Riverfront Park.
